I wanted to follow up on Chester Marcol’s participation at our convention last Saturday.  Besides his talk at our banquet, Chester also put on a seminar earlier in the afternoon.  Both of his presentations were very well received and we received MANY compliments on his talks.  He was funny, sincere, compelling and very down-to-earth.  One of our younger directors, not from Chester’s era, admitted he thought it would be a bust, of no interest to younger members.  He said afterwards that he was wrong, that he could have listened to Chester for hours.

"We could not believe our luck when told that Chris and Player Alumni Resources wanted to do a fundraiser for us.  They involved and engaged our campers (who were thrilled to catch so many fish!), encouraged our mission, were accessible to all participants at the fishing tournament and dinner, and entertained everyone who came in contact with them.  Kevin Barry even came to visit camp for a day, to the excitement of everyone.

We are a camp for children who’ve lost a loved one who served in the U.S. military.  The Packer Alumni embraced that purpose with their hearts.
